VinFast announced the groundbreaking of an electric vehicle factory in the US on July 28. This will be the first electric vehicle production facility in North Carolina, contributing to the supply of electric vehicles for the North American market.
The VinFast factory will be built at the Triangle Innovation Point industrial park in Chatham County, North Carolina. The project covers an area of about 733 hectares with an expected capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year in phase 1. The factory will include two main areas: electric vehicle production and assembly, and an auxiliary industrial park for suppliers. grant.

The factory is expected to start production from 2025.
